I have always wanted to cut a red ribbon with giant scissors… and I got my wish!
Here is how it happened: I recently joined the Columbia County (NY) Chamber of Commerce. One of the many benefits and perks is to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at your business, as your “coming out” to the community. No, there are no brains in the smoothie… the smoothie is food for your brain!
In a blender, combine and mix:
8 oz coconut milk (or almond milk)
scoop protein powder
a dash each of organic cinnamon, ground clove, ginger, and turmeric*
This yummy recipe is from my customer Kathy Johnson, MS Ed, who “helps move struggling learners through developmental stages to open pathways for better learning” with her company, Pyramid of Potential. Kathy credits this smoothie with her high energy and mental clarity in the morning. Thanks, Kathy!
* each of these spices was chosen for a specific reason due to the benefits attributed to them — more on that in another post.
