Brain Food Smoothie

A dash of spices in this smoothie makes it a power meal!

No, there are no brains in the smoothie… the smoothie is food for your brain!

In a blender, combine and mix:

8 oz coconut milk (or almond milk)
handful strawberries
handful blueberries
scoop protein powder
one banana
a dash each of organic cinnamon, ground clove, ginger, and turmeric*

This yummy recipe is from my customer Kathy Johnson, MS Ed, who “helps move struggling learners through developmental stages to open pathways for better learning” with her company, Pyramid of Potential.  Kathy credits this smoothie with her high energy and mental clarity in the morning. * each of these spices was chosen for a specific reason due to the benefits attributed to them — more on that in another post.
